Pipe Bursting in Omaha, NE
Our Plumbers Have Over 20 Years of Experience
Trenchless plumbing services are generally preferable to plumbing repair methods that involve trenching. This is because trenchless plumbing services offer several advantages when compared with plumbing methods that involve trenching, including:
- Trenchless replacement is more cost-effective than trenching
- The trenchless repair process is quicker than trenching
- Trenchless replacement is less invasive than trenching repair methods
- Trenchless repairs don’t damage your home or lawn

What Is Pipe Bursting?
Because pipe bursting involves using a type of Pulled In Place Pipe (PIPP), our team needs two access points to complete a successful replacement.
However, before our plumbers search for two access points, we will want to ensure that pipe bursting is going to be the most effective way to replace your building’s sewer. Our plumbers will put a sewer camera down your drain line and complete a thorough sewer inspection. Once it is determined that pipe bursting is going to be the most effective way of replacing your sewer, we will locate your drain line and educate you on the process.
As stated before, when using the pipe bursting method, our plumbers need two access points. The first access point is the connection where the piping exits the building and the other connection is where it taps onto the city main, which is usually located in the middle of the street. Our plumbers use these two points to ensure you receive the best service possible.
We do not recommend stopping trenchless repairs at the curb and bypassing your drain line under the street, even if it has not failed (yet). While exposing your drain line under the street is more costly, it will ultimately save you money and frustration in the years to come.
Pipe bursting is usually a three day process. Of course, every plumbing situation is always different, but in most cases, you can expect the job to be completed in three days. On the first day, our team will prep the job site. On day two, we will pull the new line through, tie on to the inside building drain, and connect to the city main. And on the final day, we will wrap the job up and ensure that we leave your home and landscaping as beautiful and safe as they were when we first arrived.
As for the actual pipe bursting process, which, as stated earlier, will take place on day two, our plumbers at American Rooter Plumbing will use a hydraulic expansion bursting head attached to a cable and run it through the host pipe. As the new HDPE pipe is pulled through, it will fracture the old pipe and make room for the new pipe. When the replacement is complete, you will have a new, healthy drain line that will last for years to come.
